Practice-oriented introduction to MicroServices

In this training we go on a journey, we start with monolithic architectures and dive together into the world of MicroServices. With a hands-on-first approach, various approaches will be shown along with their opportunities, threats and also best practices. After the trip, terms like MicroServices, Event-Driven Architectures, Observability, Fault Tolerance, etc. are no longer unfamiliar words to us.
  • Understand architecture patterns
  • Know migration options with advantages and disadvantages
  • Know and understand fault tolerance, event-driven architecture, change data capture patterns
  • Know modern observability stacks
  • Participants will need a recent notebook with free internet access
  • Additionally, local admin rights are required
  • Already installed Maven, Java OpenJDK 17, IDE, Git
  • Installed Docker Engine with Docker-Compose
  • Our training is aimed at people who already have previous knowledge in the area of Java software development and architecture
  • Furthermore, basic know-how in relation to containers and container platforms is an advantage
  • CHF 1100 / participant for one day (or two half days).
  • Group sessions consisting of 8 to 24 participants.
  • Includes catering and documentation.
